I hadn’t honestly thought of that before, but in the end i decided there wasn’t anything at all wrong with using yeast in bread on a paleo diet! so this is our first stab at a paleo yeast bread recipe, and i’d love to know how you like it! if you miss the yeast-like smell and flavor of bread, this recipe is your answer.. The good news is that my paleo bread recipe doesn’t require a lot of psyllium husk powder. i used only 1/4 cup for the entire loaf, compared to 2 cups of almond flour. you may even be able to reduce that to 2-3 tablespoons, which i’ll try next time.. This is by far and away the absolute best paleo bread i have had.. the use of active dry yeast (see is yeast paleo?) as a leavening agent completely changes the texture and the taste compared to baking soda-based breads (which always taste strongly of egg to me)..
This is the best keto bread recipe we’ve ever tried and we’re confident you’ll feel the same way! it’s perfect for slicing and making into sandwiches or slathering with butter and eating as-is.. I also started using 3 1/2 tsp yeast & it raises perfect! the consistency is not as thick as original recipe but is a little thicker than a quick bread batter. i use a spatula dipped in water to get out of mixer & to smooth batter in loaf.. Count on this paleo and keto bread to be soft, fluffy, absolutely delicious and with a killer crumb. plus, with less than half the amount of eggs as your usual low carb bread recipe, this non-eggy sandwich bread will surely become a staple!.
